Stop intellectualisation, in favour of action.

Hey Friend,

Let’s be real for a second; these mental models and over-intellectualisation don’t mean anything unless we take action. The whole point of these systems, mental models, and abstractions is to navigate the complexity with simplicity, a map, if you will.

But once you have your map (which may be incomplete), you need to start walking from point A to point B, and you’ll need to look up from the map, so you don’t fall off a cliff.

I’m joking, but you get what I’m saying; if we don’t start acting like the person who has the results he wants, we continually look at a staircase without making the first step.

Now that we have the information, we need skin in the game. You do this by sticking with your most high-resolution map, developing a daily routine to traverse this domain and having faith that it’ll work out or you will learn something. Either way, we are reducing our error rate; our error rate is like in a machine learning model, whereas we train by gaining more experience, and we increase our probability of succeeding by reducing our error rate.

The main question I’ve been asking myself recently, and I recommended you ask yourself, too, is:

Should we be results-orientated or action-orientated?

I argue the latter. If we have a clear vision (results), our identity should be how and why we act and the means of fulfilling our responsibility over our desires. Don’t get me wrong; you need to be clear on your vision, but far less frequently and obsessively than is common.

Imagine this, we have our north star, our ideal burning bright in the night sky, lighting up our pathway, but the path is not clear, it’s a mission in itself, so we need to look down at our feet and take one step at a time. You see where I’m going with this. Your core values and purpose don’t often change, nor does the vision. Not as often as the process, practices, and learnings that come from education, experience and evolution.

So what do you need to do? Download this map I’ve designed for you to transcend your nature and start creating your north star. Then you can start taking the singular actions to start selling before you build. Focus on your client interactions and problems first; be the service before you build the product.

Are you ready to leverage your energy in the highest possible manner?

The truth is often simple, and the answer lies in the internal and external systems and the energy that flows between them.
